The graphical calculator below has been provided below as a tool to determine the resistance of a resistor based on the observed color code. Conversely, if one knows the resistance, the calculator can also determine the proper color code for the desired resistor.
In order to use the calculator to determine resistance, merely use the pull-down menus above the displayed resistor to select the observed color bands on the resistor. To determine the color code, enter in the resistance value and use the pull-down menus below the resistor to select the multipler and tolerance.
A table is also provided below the graphical calculator to show the correlation of color bands and numerical values.
